Why see Blood Brothers?
The UK Favourite Is On Tour
Surpassing over 10,000 performances on London's West End (that's an incredible 24 years of shows), Willy Russell's Blood Brothers is safely one of the UK's favourite musicals. Now, courtesy of Bill Kenwright Limited, the legendary hit takes to the road this year on tour, bringing the emotional tale of two brothers torn asunder by fate to you. Including modern classics such as 'Tell Me It's Not True', 'Marylin Monroe' and 'Bright New Day' among many more, discover once more (or for the first time) the heartwrenching yet uplifting journey that is this special show.
What Is The Story?
When working-class kid Mickey meets the well-to-do Eddie, it's impossible to deny their resemblance. Little do they know, they're more than just similar looking, they're actually twins, separated at birth when their mother, struck a desperate deal with her wealthy employer. When the two discover the sons have connected, they work hard to tear them apart again. A boiling mixture of superstition and class difference, Blood Brothers is a searing exploration of the gap between poor and rich and the age-old nature vs nurture debate.
